3am

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Waking up in the middle of the night is not uncommon for mom and dad these days. For mom, its feeding Max when he wakes up in the middle of the night. For me, its Tyler coming in to our room and standing by my head until I wake up and walk him back to his room. Sometimes, Evan will wake up because he lost his nook and he needs it back. For Evan, last night was a different story. Around 3am we started hearing some whining coming from his room. Packed with a nook I was ready to get him back to sleep. When I got to his room though I found out that it was not a missing nook that was bothering him. To give you a better idea of what I saw we reenacted last nights event.

So what do we have going on here? Well, we have rain boots; we have a wooden puzzle board and a book being used for a pillow; and what you dont see is all the sand that came out from the rain boots….

Tyler is starting to learn that his brother is no longer a pushover…

Look at me!

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

So it’s been a rough week in the Chowanec household.  It started with me in the emergency room with Evan on Sunday night because of his wheezing.  We found out that he had come down with RSV, a respiratory virus, and a double ear infection!  Tyler wasn’t sounding great either so Aron stayed home and took the boys into the doctor on Monday to find out that Tyler had the same thing and an ear infection as well!  So we have been home all week trying to get better.  Evan was back at the doctor today and I’m told he is improving.  Now we have to hope that Aron and I don’t catch the virus.

So during the week at home Evan decided to learn a new ‘trick’.  I came home from work to find him happily sitting all by himself!  He is very happy about this new skill because he can now see everything going on around him.  He especially loves to watch his big brother play.  I thought I’d share a few pictures I took of him today sitting all by himself!

Enjoy,

Kristin

Twins

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Aron has always said that he wanted twins. Well, I was looking (more like reminiscing) at pictures of Tyler the other day and I noticed something very interesting. They might have been born three years apart but, I think Aron got his twins after all! What do you think?

Healthy Baby

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Usually when some one sees a baby for the first time they often ask “how old is your baby?”. I of course reply with his age “4-months-old”. Lately people then say something about Evan being a very “healthy baby”.  Yes, he is a very healthy baby! So, Evan had his 4-month-old check up this week. The nurse and the doctor both commented on how healthy Evan was as well. So how healthy is he you ask? Well, he weighed in at 17 pounds and 2 ounces, which is in the 89th percentile for babies his age. He was 25.5 inches long (74th percentile). The doctor briefly discussed introducing cereal into his diet, only to say that he didn’t think it was necessary yet as our baby is definitely thriving on milk alone! As a Mom I of course think he is perfect just the way he is.

Evan

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Hello everyone! This is Kristin. I have decided since Aron has been neglecting his duty to post pictures of Evan I would take over. Evan will be 4 months old this Saturday, it seems like just yesterday he was born. It is true when they say that life with two is different. More enriching, more challenging, and more fun! We are so blessed to have our two boys. So as you can imagine things in our household have been busy. We have been taking pictures of Evan, we have just neglected to post them. I thought I would share a few recent pictures with you since I know you are anxious to see how he has changed since his birth. So here they are.
