Look at me!

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

So it’s been a rough week in the Chowanec household.  It started with me in the emergency room with Evan on Sunday night because of his wheezing.  We found out that he had come down with RSV, a respiratory virus, and a double ear infection!  Tyler wasn’t sounding great either so Aron stayed home and took the boys into the doctor on Monday to find out that Tyler had the same thing and an ear infection as well!  So we have been home all week trying to get better.  Evan was back at the doctor today and I’m told he is improving.  Now we have to hope that Aron and I don’t catch the virus.

So during the week at home Evan decided to learn a new ‘trick’.  I came home from work to find him happily sitting all by himself!  He is very happy about this new skill because he can now see everything going on around him.  He especially loves to watch his big brother play.  I thought I’d share a few pictures I took of him today sitting all by himself!

Enjoy,

Kristin

Its peanut butter jelly time

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Kristin and I were going to Kristins works holiday party the other day. Nana, Kristins mom, was coming over to babysit for us. When we told Tyler this he asked; ‘Can nana drive to the store?’. We asked him why she would need to drive to the store. ‘In case we run out of peanut butter and jelly. Can nana drive to the store to get more?’. We then told Tyler we didnt think we were going to be away that long…

Better clean my room

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Tyler and I went into his room to get ready for bed. I was telling him to pick out some books when he told me- ‘Daddy, my room is a mess.’. I told him yes, but we could clean it up tomorrow(bad, I know). He insisted on cleaning it up and he started to put some of his toys away. He then asked me if I could sing the ‘better clean my room’ song. For those who dont know, Tyler likes to sing songs about everything. Generally, the lyrics and title are the same thing. I asked him how it went. Tyler then stopped putting his toys away and started to dance and sing - I better clean my room before mommy gets mad; I better clean my room before mommy gets mad. ‘Thats how it goes daddy’ he said. ;)
