My iPod broke yesterday ;-( Ive had it for just about three years and it looks like the hard drive failed. I did have the four year warranty from Best Buy so it is getting fixed right now 😉 They had two options; Either wait 2+ weeks to get mine back or three days to get a refurbished one. I opted for the refurbished one. Lucky I did too. You dont know how much you miss something until you dont have it anymore. I feel a little lost without it.
You see, I normally have four things I take to work. My keys, wallet, cell phone, and my iPod. This morning when I grabbed everything something didnt feel right. I thought my wallet was missing. After a while of looking, I realized my wallet was in my hand. Even better, Tyler got up extra early this morning which meant Kristin was sitting on the couch watching me look for my wallet. It gets even better though. I still felt like something was missing. I must have been really tired still because I still dont know what I was thinking. I thought I didnt have my cell phone. I started looking all over for that as well. And, like I said, Kristin was sitting on the couch just watching me… Anyways, I decided to call my cell phone to see where it was. As I held our home in my right hand, my left hand started ringing. Kristin just laughed at me. My cell phone was in my hand, under my wallet. So, as you can tell, ive probably gotten more attached to my iPod than any person really should.
I have used it for more than just music over the past year as well. I have listened to all the Harry potter books on tape as well as a few others before going to bed. It is much more relaxing than tv. This brings me to my second part of my iPod post. I am almost done with the books on tape I have. What good books on tape are out there that I can listen to? Please put them in the comments!
Now, for anyone really worried about my situation(ok, I know no one really cares…), worry not. I stole Kristins iPod nano 😉

Aron,
For some reason your sad story didn’t really surprise me too much. I do have a suggestion for the future though. My Aunt Shelia’s (Kristin’s great aunt) significant other, fixes ipods. He buys them on ebay for next to nothing, fixes them and resells them at a great profit. He says it’s usually only a couple of things that go wrong and they are easy fixes. I’ll find out what they are. If he can’t fix them for some reason, he keeps them for parts. If your warranty runs out and it breaks again let me know.
On the book side of it, I would suggest the “Dunes” series. It might be right up your alley…
